Alyrice

Illustrator, animator & Live2D artist in Kyle, Texas

I draw characters for streamers and studios. Eight years of illustration, a year animating shorts for Nijisanji EN, and a very large stack of finished pages.

Animation

Official shorts for Nijisanji EN

Animated shorts produced in-house for one of the largest VTuber agencies, boards through final delivery. Each one opens on YouTube.

Thumbnails have to work small and in a crowded feed, so each one leads with faces, a strong silhouette and one clear idea — the setting, the game, or the joke — rather than fine detail.

Mago Hago

Original designer toy brand — character design, logo, colorways
Four logo lockups for Mago Hago, from a hand-lettered version to a bold rounded wordmark with the character's face replacing the O
Wordmark exploration — the face takes over the O in the final lockup
Character design sheet showing Mago evolving from a large soft bear through smaller versions to the final big-headed creature, plus four interchangeable face expressions
From a soft oversized bear to a big-headed creature with swappable faces
Yellow Mago with wide open eyes and a small grin
Mago — wide eyed
Red Mago with narrowed angry eyes
Mago — furious
Blue Hago with floppy ears, teary flower-shaped eyes and a wobbling mouth

Charm model, turntable render

One silhouette, a set of swappable faces, and a growing cast of colorways. The proportions got pushed until the head could carry an expression on its own, so the same body reads as a different character every time the face changes.

The flat design was then built as a 3D model so it holds up as a physical charm — round enough to print cleanly, with the ears and feet thick enough to survive being carried around.

Holiday set

Character design, icon set, seamless repeat patterns
Loose first sketch of a smiling snowman in a santa hat with Merry Christmas lettering
First pass — loose, to find the face
Finished snowman with a red santa hat, red lower body, carrot nose and snowflakes around him
Redrawn with heavier line and flat colour
Sheet of holiday motifs: five snowmen in a santa hat, earmuffs, a top hat and scarf, a red-bodied one and a star-eyed one, plus a decorated tree, wrapped gifts and a grinning star-eyed face in a santa hat
The full cast — one snowman, restyled six ways
Sheet of snowflake, sparkle and dot shapes drawn in thick black outline
Snow and sparkle set
Seamless repeat of snowmen and snowflakes on white
Snowmen on white
Seamless repeat of snowflakes and dots on dusty blue
Snowfall on blue
Seamless repeat of tilted christmas trees and sparkles on red
Trees on red

One snowman body, restyled with a hat, earmuffs, a scarf or a pair of star eyes, plus a tree, gifts and a set of snowflakes — then tiled three ways. Each repeat changes only the background colour and the density, so the set holds together across a whole product range.
